The Art Studio Mail Club is a monthly studio exploration delivered to your door. Each edition begins with the same Studio Question explored inside the Art Studio Residency.

Instead of watching from a screen, you receive a physical studio companion designed to sit beside you while you paint. Inside each envelope are visual studies, colour references, and guided prompts that invite you to experiment with the same ideas explored in the studio.

It is not a course. It is not a craft box. It is a studio exploration you can hold in your hands. A physical extension of the studio. Something to return to while you paint.

Each edition becomes part of a growing archive of studio ideas you can return to whenever you paint.

How the Mail Club Connects to the Studio

Each month inside the Art Studio Residency revolves around a central artistic question. These questions guide our Studio Sessions and shape the explorations that follow throughout the month.

Examples might include:

What actually creates harmony in colour?
How much structure does a painting need?
When does gesture feel intentional?

Inside the Studio Session, that question is explored live. Inside the Residency, it continues through practice and conversation.

Inside the Mail Club, the exploration becomes tangible.

A printed study. A colour reference. A focused activity you can try in your own studio.

It gives you a direct way to experiment with the same ideas explored in the studio.

Why the ASR Mail Club Exists

Many artists want inspiration they can return to while they work. Not another screen. Not another playlist of tutorials. Something physical. Something visual. Something that sparks experimentation while the paint is still wet. The Mail Club exists for artists who enjoy having real studio references on their table while they paint.

Over time the editions become a growing archive of:

• colour ideas
• compositional insights
• material experiments
• studio questions

A personal library of studio explorations that grows month by month.

The Art Studio Residency Ecosystem

The Mail Club is one way to engage with the art studio residency.

There are three ways artists connect:

The Art Studio Mail Club
A monthly studio exploration delivered by post.

Studio Sessions
A live immersive exploration of the monthly Studio Question.

The Art Studio Residency
An ongoing studio environment with live practice sessions, reference material, and mentorship.

Some artists begin with the Mail Club.

Some begin with a Studio Session.

Some join the Residency directly.

All three are connected through the same studio questions and explorations at different levels of depth.

Who the Art Studio Mail Club Is For

The Art Studio Mail Club is designed for artists who:

• enjoy experimenting in their own studio
• like having visual references beside them while painting
• enjoy thoughtful prompts and creative questions
• appreciate tangible studio materials

You do not need to be a professional artist. You simply need curiosity and a willingness to explore.
